EFFECT OF THE USE OF FISH FLOUR BY FERMENTED LACTIC ACID BACTERIA FISH ON AS A SUBSTITUTE FLOUR BROILER SERUM LIPID PROFILE

ABSTRACT

The study aims to examine the effect of the use of fish meal fermented by lactic acid bacteria (LAB) as a substitute for fish meal on serum lipid profile of broiler. The parameters used were total cholesterol, levels of Low Density Lipoprotein / LDL, levels of High Density Lipoprotein / HDL cholesterol and triglycerides serum levels of broilers. The treatments were applied R0 = diet containing 8% fish meal, R1 = diet containing 6% 2% fish meal and fish meal fermented LAB, R2 = ration containing 4% 4% fish meal and fish meal fermented LAB, R3 = diet containing 2% 6% fish meal and fish meal and fermented BAL R4 = diet containing 0% fish meal and 8% fish meal fermented LAB. Completely randomized design with five treatments and five replications and five unit tests were used to obtain data. Data were processed using ANOVA followed by Duncan’s test if there are multiple areas significantly different (p <0.05). Results showed no effect of the use of fish meal fermented by lactic acid bacteria (LAB) as a substitute for fish meal on serum total cholesterol and HDL cholesterol, but lower levels of LDL cholesterol and triglycerides blood serum of broiler.
